N. 1 December 1997 | After the euro, a permanent campaign for European federation

The European Union is at a hisrtoric crossroads. If we are to successfully face it, the small institutional adjustments that we now have aren’t enoguh. What the EU needs is a strong power based on democratic consensus, in the context of a federal institutional framework inspired by the subsidiarity principle. It’s because they want to achieve this goal that the federalists have launched a permanent Campaing at a European scale. By the means of this letter they will attempt to give a voice, to european citizens who have been left out of the European construction process, and have the european political establishment listen to it.
